Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service:

• Account information. You can use ClipMix anonymously. When you sign in with a third-party provider (Google, Discord, or Facebook), we receive a unique account identifier, your display name, and — if you choose to share it — your email address. Your name becomes an editable nickname that you can change or remove at any time; we never use it in your public profile address.
• Anonymous accounts. When you remix without signing in, we create an anonymous account identified only by a random cookie. It holds no name or email.
• Content you create. The Mixes you build (the YouTube videos, time ranges, titles, and descriptions you choose), along with your comments, likes and dislikes, and creator subscriptions.
• Activity. Your watch history and any content you report to us.
• Technical data. Your IP address, browser information, and request logs, which our hosting provider processes to keep the service secure and operational.

YouTube

ClipMix plays videos through the YouTube IFrame Player API; we do not host or store any video. When a Mix plays, YouTube and Google may set cookies and collect data about your interaction with their player under the Google Privacy Policy. By using ClipMix you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

To label clips, we fetch public video titles and channel names from YouTube's keyless oEmbed endpoint on our server. We do not use the YouTube Data API and request no access to your YouTube account.

Cookies

We use only the cookies required to operate the site: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, the cookie that identifies an anonymous account, and a cookie that remembers your language preference. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Note that the YouTube player may set its own cookies, as described above.

How we use your information

• To provide and maintain the service — creating and playing Mixes, comments, and subscriptions.
• To operate your account and carry your drafts over when you sign in.
• To display public content, such as published Mixes and public profiles.
• To keep ClipMix secure, prevent abuse, and respond to reports.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

Legal bases

Where Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) or the GDPR applies, we process your data on the basis of the performance of our contract with you (providing the service), your consent (which you can withdraw), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing ClipMix.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make ClipMix work:

• Cloudflare — hosting, our database, and request logs, processed on its global infrastructure.
• Sign-in providers (Google, Discord, Facebook) — only when you choose to sign in with them.
• YouTube / Google — for video playback, as described above.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Anonymous accounts are deleted automatically after a period of inactivity, along with all of their drafts and activity. When you delete your account, we remove it and everything tied to it immediately and permanently. See our data deletion page for details.

International transfers

ClipMix runs on Cloudflare's global network, so your data may be processed on servers outside Türkiye. We rely on our providers' safeguards for any such transfers.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to request a copy of it. You can edit your profile or delete your account at any time from your settings, or follow the steps on our data deletion page. To exercise any other right, email us at privacy@clipmix.tv.

Children

ClipMix is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
