How to use ClipMix
ClipMix lets you assemble Mixes — ordered playlists of YouTube clips — and watch them as one continuous video. Here's how to get the most out of it.
Watch a Mix
Open any Mix and it plays straight through, clip after clip, in the YouTube player. You don't need an account to watch.
The player has the controls you'd expect — play and pause, volume, speed, fullscreen — plus keyboard shortcuts: Space or K to play or pause, J and L to jump back and forward, and N / P to skip between clips.
Create your first Mix
Click Create to open the editor, then:
- Paste a YouTube link to add a video as a source.
- Set the clip's start and end times to keep just the part you want.
- Add it to your Mix, then repeat with as many videos as you like.
- Drag the clips to reorder them — the Mix plays in that order.
You can build and save a draft without signing in, so there's nothing stopping you from starting right away.
Loop or trim a single video
If you just want to repeat one section of one video, the Loop tool is faster: paste a link, drag the handles to pick your section, and it repeats endlessly. Hit Save as a Mix to turn it into a draft you can expand later.
Preview and fine-tune
The editor previews your whole Mix as you build it, so you can check the flow and nudge any clip's in and out points until the transitions feel right.
Publish and share
When your Mix is ready, sign in with Google or Discord to publish it. Choose who can see it:
- Public — anyone can find and watch it, and it can show up in search.
- Unlisted — only people with the link can watch it.
- Private — only you can see it.
Every Mix has a Share button that copies its link or opens your device's share sheet.
Re-mix and edit
See a Mix you'd do differently? Re-mix it to start your own copy and change whatever you like.
Published Mixes keep their clips fixed, so a link always plays what it promised. You can still edit a published Mix's title, description, and visibility any time; to change the clips, re-mix it into a fresh draft.
Find more Mixes
Use Search to find public Mixes by title, description, or even the titles and channels of the YouTube videos inside them. The home page also highlights recent, trending, and most-liked Mixes.
